The server “imap.gmail.com” cannot be contacted on port 993
Apple mail started giving me this error: the server “imap.gmail.com” cannot be contacted on port 993
Fixed it by going into preferences > accounts and chaning imap.gmail.com to imap.googlemail.com
Thanks for posting this. I was at a loss to resolve this issue. I have NO IDEA why they change you have suggested is suddenly required on ONE of my computers, whilst every other works fine. Very strange. After trying everything I could find in help forums, your solution is what worked. How did you figure this out?
